Land Rover Updates Defender Line-Up

2025 Defender upgrades include new tech, refreshed styling, and off-road enhancements across all variants

  • New 13.1-inch infotainment screen improves usability across Defender models

  • Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control debuts as an option on all-terrain models

  • Defender OCTA adds new paint, off-road gear, and V8 performance enhancements

Land Rover has introduced a series of updates across its Defender 90, 110, 130, and high-performance OCTA models. Changes include exterior design and infotainment system updates, and available off-road technologies. Pricing for the updated Defender range in Canada starts at $79,050 CAD.

All Defender variants’ exteriors now feature redesigned headlights with new signature lighting and standard fog lights. Rear lights have a new flush-fit design with smoked lenses. New exterior colours have been added, including Woolstone Green and Borasco Grey, while Defender OCTA gains the exclusive Sargasso Blue and a new Patagonia White Matte wrap.

Other design enhancements include a gloss-black grille bar, textured hood inserts, dark-tinted taillights, and new Defender-branded wheel center caps. A new 22-inch Diamond Turned Dark Grey alloy wheel design is now available.

A new 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display is now standard. The gear shifter has been repositioned to the dashboard, freeing up space in the centre console. As part of the Signature Suite option, removable side pockets and improved cable management add utility for front-row occupants.

Defender models are now available with Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control, a driver assistance system that manages throttle input over uneven surfaces to maintain ride comfort. This system builds on existing All Terrain Progress Control technologies. The Defender 130 variant adds an integrated air compressor, allowing tire pressure adjustments while travelling across mixed terrain.

The new OCTA model features a 626 hp 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, 6D Dynamics suspension system, and a dedicated OCTA Mode for high-speed off-road driving.

The Explorer, Adventure, and Urban accessory packs have been updated with black-finished Expedition Roof Racks, Cross Bars, and Front Undershields. Defender OCTA offers an optional 4,500 kg-rated winch system with a chopped carbon fibre cover.

New personalization features include Matte Protective Film, chopped carbon fibre trims, and Textured Graphite detailing on select exterior surfaces. Interior customization options now include multiple colourways and wheel designs, with 20-inch forged alloy wheels available.

The Defender continues to be offered in three- and five-door body styles, with options ranging from commercial-focused Hard-Top models to the performance-oriented Defender OCTA.
