Black-out RX returns for 2022 model year
GX gains Black Line, also sees infotainment upgrades
Lexus is adding black trim options to more of its models. New Black Line Special Editions will be added to the GX, while the trim levels will be renewed for a limited number of RX and RX hybrid models for 2022.
The 2022 Lexus GX 460 is the first GX to get Black Lined, with the Special Edition offered in Starfire, Black, and Nori Green paint finishes. It comes with black fog lamps and black grille trim as well as black wheels, and you get the idea. Inside, the headliner is black while the seats are grey. The ash wood trim is also black.
Actual updates for the 2022 GX 460 include a 10.3-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The center console has also been reshaped and enhanced. The 2022 Lexus GX gets intuitive parking assist, power fold mirrors, and navigation as standard.
The 2022 Lexus RX 350 and RX 450h models will see a total of 2,500 Black Line Limited Edition models built, 2,100 the 350 and the remainder the hybrid. They’re based on the RX’s Premium Package and offered in Eminent White and Caviar paint. Features include a black spindle grille, black seats, black 20-inch wheels, and other black trim. Even the cargo mat and key cover are black.
The gas RX models will start from $49,450 when they go on sale while the hybrid model is $52,150.
