Lexus Confirms More F-Sport And F Vehicles Are On The Way Following IS 500 F Sport Reveal

Lexus will expand its performance vehicle portfolio which will please fans and buyers alike

  • The IS 500 F Sport is only the first of a number of new F-Sport and F vehicles on the way.

  • More V8 cars are possible thanks to Toyota’s good CAFE rating.

  • Lexus SUVs are expected to get F and F-Sport versions as well.

Lexus has delivered some truly impressive, albeit not entirely appreciated, driver cars in the past. One such automobile was the IS F which rivaled the best that Germany had to offer in its time. Now, we know there are more of these high-performance F vehicles on the way.

Today,  Lexus customers can opt for the RC F or the beautiful LC, and very soon, the IS 500 will hit the road. According to Kirk Kreifels’ YouTube video, Lexus is preparing many new F-Sport and F vehicles variants, including some SUVs. The news was announced at the 12 Hours of Sebring where they also unveiled the IS 500 F Sport.

What is perhaps most interesting from the report is that it was said that the current Lexus IS got an F Sport and now a full-fat F version is that the current car isn’t quite worthy of it. As well, it would seem as though these high-performance F cars and SUVs will not rely on electrification to begin which is good news for most.

Lexus Adds V8 to 472 hp IS 500 F Sport Performance

As for the new 2022 Lexus IS F Sport Launch Edition, it will feature the naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre V8 and will receive gorgeous 19-inch seven-spoke forged alloy Matte Black BBS wheels. Onboard, the F Sport will be fitted with two-tone Black & Gray Ultrasuede trimmed seats, door accents, and center console, and a unique serialized Launch Edition badge. As well, it will get an F SPORT combination instrumentation meter updated with an exclusive Launch Edition startup animation.

The new 2022 Lexus IS F Sport Launch Edition is expected this fall. Between now and then, we can expect more news on Lexus’ plans.
