The GX is the Land Cruiser Prado’s twin, a Toyota not offered in North America
It’s one of the most capable luxury off roaders in the world.
Toyota and Lexus are slowly but surely overhauling its entire fleet of body-on-frame vehicles. The final piece in the Lexus lineup is the GX which is largely unchanged since its initial introduction in late 2009 for the 2010 model year. An all-new third generation GX will be introduced in about a month.
The Lexus GX is a luxury midsize SUV that offers impressive off-road capabilities, making it a great choice for adventure enthusiasts. This rugged SUV is built on a truck-based platform and features a 4.6-liter V8 engine that delivers plenty of power and towing capacity. With three rows of seats, the GX can accommodate up to seven passengers comfortably. The interior is made with high-quality materials and comes with a range of advanced technology features, including a touchscreen infotainment system, a navigation system, and a premium sound system. Overall, the Lexus GX is a great choice for those who need an SUV that is both luxurious and capable of handling off-road challenges.
While it still answers the call of the luxury SUVs, few buyers are actually dialing its number. Age and relevance have taken their toll on the Lexus GX but it’s far from dead. On the heels of the recent introduction of the all-new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, Lexus will premiere the new GX on June 9th.
The new 2024 GX will be revealed in a similar time-frame as the recently teased coming of an all-new TX. We’ll find out more about both in the coming weeks.
