Lexus Unveiling New Concept, Brand Direction March 30th

New Lexus brand strategy coming

  • Expect a new direction from Lexus to start next week

  • First model will be a concept car unveiled the same time

Lexus has just announced it is one step closer to bringing us the future of the brand. That will come at the end of the month in a digital press conference, but to tide us over there is a new teaser photo of the first concept car that will put the next generation of the brand on display.

In February, Lexus showed off the rear of the car, with a bold new Lexus letting badge and what appeared to be a semi-split rear windshield. With that photo, Lexus brand boss Koji Sato said that “this Spring, we will unveil our new brand vision, along with a new concept, which illustrates our intentions for the future and marking the beginning of the next generation of Lexus. Furthermore, we will launch the first model under our new vision within this year.”

This spring now means March 30th at 6 am Eastern when Lexus will announce what it calls its brand transformation efforts. Along with those details will come the reveal of this model, which it is for now just calling the Concept Car. The car “which symbolizes the next generation of Lexus,” is a car, which makes us surprised and optimistic since it’s not a crossover.

As far as the car itself, it looks to be a coupe with a large fin on the rear like a modern Formula 1 car. Though not as elegant as the LC, it has our full attention waiting for the proper reveal next week.
