Rosso Corsa who?
If you’re buying a Ferrari, why get the same one as the next guy?
Much like an expensive suit, if you’ve got the scratch for a Ferrari, you probably don’t just want one off the rack. That’s why the brand offers its Tailor Made program to let you make your prancing horse a little bit more special. The automaker has just posted this Tailor Made car it says breaks the rules instead of following, but what are the rules when it comes to massive-power exotics really?
This Ferrari 488 Pista comes in a shade of silver mixed with an olive green that would likely make any lesser car blend into the background. With this styling, though, and with that thick red and thin white stripe running nose to tail, this particular car won’t blend in to much of anything.
With most Ferraris coming in red, or occasionally black, white or yellow, it’s nice to see one that really shakes up the car’s style. This one, posted to Facebook (via Motor1), does a great job of that.
The in-cabin changes match the exterior, with a little bit more green in that suede on the bucket seats and door pulls, with black accent panels and the same red and white stripe as the body running up those seats.
Ferrari doesn’t mention any mechanical changes, so we’re assuming the car is the same as any other Pista, meaning 710 hp at 8,000 rpm from the 3.9L twin-turbo V8 along with the Pista-specific nose that adds downforce at speeds and is helped by underbody diffusers borrowed from racing-only versions of the 488.
