Lime Green On Steroids: New Grabber Lime Color Added To 2020 Mustang

Ford is adding a new color called Grabber Lime to the Mustang lineup just in time for St-Patrick’s Day.

The Ford Mustang will be available in two new colors including one Ford’s color manager Barb Whalen describes as “lime green on steroids”. Called Grabber Lime, the new light green shade will be available on every Ford Mustang trim.

Grabber Lime is not a new color, it was offered all the way back in 1971 but hasn’t been used in over three decades. It arrives just in time to take on the Dodge Challenger and Charger’s light Sublime Green shade unveiled in January.

Along with Grabber Lime, the Ford Mustang will be available with a bright orange called Twister Orange as well as new silver and red options called Iconic Silver and Red Hot metallic.

“These bright, vibrant retro colours are trending in design – in home furnishings, sportswear and even appliances,” said Whalen. “Aspirational and confident, they are fun, youthful colours that make a statement of how you want the world to see you and who you want to be. And your car is an extension of that.

Grabber Lime will be available on the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500, but it will also be an option on other Mustang models for the 2020 model-year.

Our thoughts? It looks good. Muscle cars need to stand out, especially anything with a Shelby name attached to it. Why you would buy a black or silver Mustang is beyond us. Get it in Grabber Lime or Twister Orange or any other flashy blue, yellow or red shade because why not?
