Lincoln Unveils Redesigned 2024 Nautilus SUV with Huge Infotainment Screen, Hybrid Option

Redefined Luxury and Technology

  • Redesigned 2024 Nautilus features 48-inch display, hybrid option, for enhanced luxury and tech.

  • Offers hands-free driving, digital scents, and 28-speaker audio, targeting tech-savvy buyers.

  • Starting at $61,900 in Canada, aims to compete with Lexus, Acura in mid-luxury SUV market.

Lincoln took the wraps off its redesigned 2024 Nautilus mid-size SUV on Thursday, highlighting a radical new interior dominated by a 48-inch widescreen display along with an available hybrid powertrain.

The all-new Nautilus, currently available for purchase, represents a major overhaul for Lincoln‘s five-passenger premium utility vehicle. On the outside, it gets a bolder front grille, sleeker headlamps and updated styling meant to give it a more upscale, commanding presence.

But the biggest changes are found inside the cabin. The centrepiece is a 48-inch curved panoramic display that spans the entire width of the dashboard – the largest screen in the mid-size luxury SUV segment. This digital display powers the new “Lincoln Digital Experience” infotainment system.

The massive screen integrates with popular services like Google Maps and Amazon Alexa, allowing occupants to control everything from navigation to streaming entertainment with just their voice. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also included.

Other tech features include an available hands-free highway driving system called Lincoln BlueCruise, digital aromatherapy scent controls, and an optional 28-speaker Revel Ultima 3D audio setup.

Under the hood, buyers can opt for either a 250-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a 2.0-liter turbo hybrid powertrain. Lincoln estimates the hybrid will achieve 7.7L/100 km combined.

To maximize interior space, the Nautilus gets a flowing horizontal dash design and slim digital instrument cluster. Higher trim levels offer customizable ambient lighting, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and premium interior color schemes like Smoked Truffle or Allura Blue.

On the safety front, the redesigned Nautilus comes standard with Lincoln’s latest advanced driving aids like evasive steering assist and intersection assistance. Optional upgrades include adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system and an automated parking feature.

Pricing for the Canadian market was announced, with the 2024 Nautilus starting at $61,900 for the Reserve trim level. There was no information provided about availability or pricing for the range-topping Black Label editions with the Redwood luxury interior theme in Canada at this time. Higher trim levels and option packages could push the price further upwards.

With the Nautilus overhaul, Lincoln aims to reestablish itself as a true competitor to Lexus, Acura and other entrenched mid-luxury brands. The massive infotainment screen and focus on interior ambiance appear aimed at younger, tech-savvy buyers.

The 2024 Nautilus begins arriving in Lincoln showrooms in the coming weeks.
