Only 60 will be built.
It honours the No. 3 Corvette that won its class at the 1960 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The C8 is a perfect blend of retro and modern touches.
Lingenfelter has created another superb special edition car using a Chevrolet Corvette as a starting point. This is the new limited-edition 60th Anniversary Cunningham C8 Corvette and everything about it is superb.
The motivation behind this creation was to commemorate the 60th anniversary of a Corvette winning its class at the 1960 running of the fabled 24 Hours of Le Man’s race. The Cunningham name associated with this car relates to sportsman and entrepreneur Briggs Cunningham, who decided to enter a C1 Corvette at Le Mans in 1960. According to GMAuthority, this happened after discussing the idea with non-other than Zora Arkus-Duntov.
What makes the 60th Anniversary Cunningham Chevrolet Corvette so special is the combination of retro-themed elements such as the HRE forged aluminum wheels, the number “3” decals, the unique aero kit including the massive rear spoiler, all of it set up on the C8’s exotic body.
This Lingenfelter Corvette does feature a few performance upgrades such as a Lingenfelter Performance carbon fiber intake manifold along with Corsa headers and exhaust for a total of roughly 600 horsepower. Other improvements include Cunningham/MOV’IT Performance brakes and competition sport bucket seats.
Only 60 units will be built and will be priced from $159,995.
