Lotus unveils the Emeya, a high-performance electric sedan, set for production next year.
The Emeya is equipped with a dual-motor system that produces 905 horsepower, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.78 seconds.
The vehicle comes with a 102-kWh battery pack.
Inside the car, the design emphasizes luxury with Alcantara and Nappa leather upholstery.
Lotus has unveiled its newest addition, the Emeya, slated to enter production in the coming year. This fully electric four-door sedan represents a fresh direction for the automaker, marking its first sedan introduction since the Carlton.
Under the hood, the Emeya is far from ordinary. It’s powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, producing a staggering 905 horsepower and 726 lb-ft of torque. Such power enables the vehicle to go from a standstill to 100 km/h in a mere 2.78 seconds, with a top speed of 255 km/h.
While some might draw comparisons with the speed of the Eletre R, which reaches 264 km/h, the Emeya stands out with its impressive battery capabilities, as the car comes with a 102 kWh battery pack. Its charging capabilities are market-leading : users can gain 149 kilometers of range in just five minutes with a 350 kW DC fast charger, and an 80% charge is attainable in 18 minutes from 10%.
From a design perspective, the Emeya takes on a modern, edgy appearance. While the vehicle’s aesthetic seems reminiscent of the Eletre, unique elements like slender lighting units, an active shutter grille, and camera pods are evident. Other design details include flush-mounted door handles, contrasting black A-pillars, and a sleek light bar.

Inside, Lotus provides a taste of luxury and modernity. Though only limited views of the cabin are available, it’s clear that the interior prioritizes minimalism. Four individual seats are present, but there’s speculation of a rear bench option. The interior boasts a flat-bottom steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, and a floating infotainment system. In addition, sustainability is at the forefront with the use of repurposed fibers from the fashion realm.
Lotus has teased that more details will be unveiled in the upcoming quarter, including features like a KEF audio system and a state-of-the-art air suspension system. Pricing is still undisclosed, but don’t expect it to be affordable by middle-class standards.
