Manthey Racing Offers Nürburgring Taycan Turbo GT Package to Porsche customers

Manthey Racing has officially launched its complete Nürburgring-record breaking performance package for the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT for the masses, or truthfully, the very few. The package, which can now be ordered through Porsche for 2027 model-year vehicles, is the same configuration that enabled a Taycan to record a 6:55.533 lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife with development driver Lars Kern.

The lap eclipsed the previous electric-car benchmark established by BYD’s Yangwang U9 Xtreme by approximately four seconds. At the time, the original record-setting vehicle was not initially classified as a production-specification model, factory availability of the Manthey package now changes that status.

The Taycan’s powertrain hardware remains unchanged, keeping the Turbo GT’s dual-motor system and battery. Manthey focuses on recalibrating the electronic control systems. Continuous power rises from 778 hp to 805 hp, while Attack Mode receives an additional 40 hp over the standard calibration. Peak overboost output is unchanged at 1,019 bhp, with torque increasing from 915 lb-ft to 937 lb-ft. Maximum speed climbs from 306 km/h to 311 km/h, though acceleration figures are unchanged at 2.2 seconds from 0-100 km/h and 6.4 seconds to 200 km/h.

The biggest performance gains come from extensive aerodynamic and chassis revisions. New lightweight forged wheels measure 11.5 inches wide at the front and 12 inches at the rear, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tires measuring 305 mm and 335 mm, respectively. The wheel package reduces unsprung mass by 2.8 kg. Suspension calibration has also been revised to complement the wider rubber and increased grip.

Covering the wider track required new carbon-fibre bodywork. The front receives entirely new fenders fitted with GT3 RS-inspired louvres and air-extraction openings behind the wheels, while carbon-fibre rear arch extensions cover the wide rear tires. Revised underbody turning vanes, a larger rear diffuser, sprung front splitter, and a substantial carbon-fibre rear wing collectively generate up to 740 kg of downforce at maximum speed. This is triple the downforce produced by a Taycan Turbo GT equipped with the Weissach Package.

Cooling and braking received plenty of attention. The lower front grille stays permanently open to improve airflow at lower speeds, and larger carbon-ceramic brakes measure 440 mm at the front and 410 mm at the rear, paired with performance brake pads.

The Manthey package is currently offered only for left-hand-drive Taycan Turbo GT models due to compatibility with the vehicle’s charging configuration, though right-hand-drive customers may be able to obtain it through special-order arrangements.

For 2027 model-year vehicles, the package is priced at €108,900 (CDN$176,000) and can be ordered directly through Porsche. Existing Taycan Turbo GT owners can retrofit the package for €91,050 (CDN$147,500), excluding installation costs.
