67 years since brand’s first F1 driver title
Special red and blue paint offerings with yellow trim
Maserati has just revealed a pair of special edition cars to celebrate its original Formula 1 wins and its most iconic driver. The F Tributo Special Editions commemorate Juan Manuel Fangio and the 250F that he drove to two victories and the 1954 Driver’s World Championship as well as work to remind you of the brand’s extensive racing heritage.
The F Tributo specials offer two exclusive colours for the Maserati Levante and the Maserati Ghibli. Rosso Tributo is the colour of Italian motorsports and this is the hue that the trident’s racers used historically. Azzurro Tributo is one of the two colours (along with yellow) of the flag of Modena, the city that is Maserati’s historic home.
Fangio’s own 250F wore a red and yellow livery, so the Tributo vehicles get yellow brake calipers and wheel trim. On the Levante F Tributo are 21-inch Anteo wheels with the Ghibli wearing Titano wheels in a similar size, with both getting that bright yellow trim paint. Both models also come with a special F Tributo badge along the sides, with the black badges a first for Maserati.
Inside the F Tributo models come with black full-grain leather that can be highlighted with either yellow or red accent stitching that brightens the seats, door panels, and the dashboard. The rest of the interior looks to be that of the standard models.
Pricing and availability for the two tributes to 67 years since Fangio’s first F1 title and 95 since Maserati entered motorsport for the first time is not yet available.
