Mazda Canada has released pricing and packaging details for the 2026 CX-5, with the redesigned crossover scheduled to arrive in showrooms across the country in Spring 2026. The third-generation CX-5 will start at $36,300, with five trim levels offering increasing levels of equipment and safety technology.
To state that the CX-5 is an important model for Mazda is an understatement. In 2025, it accounted for more than 34% of total sales and saw a 14.8% increase in deliveries year-over-year. This momentum should carry on with the new model.

The all-new model is 4.5 inches longer than its predecessor, with a stretched wheelbase that improves rear-seat legroom and cargo space. The updated exterior includes a wider stance, new LED lighting signatures, and Japanese craftsmanship-inspired details such as kigumi-style fender trim and wide-set “Mazda” script on the liftgate. A new Navy Blue Mica exterior colour joins returning finishes such as Soul Red Crystal and Polymetal Grey.
Under the hood, all versions of the 2026 CX-5 are powered by the returning naturally aspirated SkyActiv-G 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, producing 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain is matched to a six-speed automatic transmission with standard i-Activ all-wheel drive across all trims. Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) offers three driving modes (Normal, Sport, and Off-Road) while G-Vectoring Control Plus (GVC+) now includes an electronic brake limited-slip differential to improve cornering stability and traction.
Inside and depending on trim, the CX-5 gets either a 12.9-inch or 15.6-inch centre touchscreen equipped with Google built-in technology and Gemini AI voice assistant. The system allows for hands-free operation of various vehicle functions, supported by smartphone-style menus and Google Maps navigation.

Standard safety and driver-assistance features across all models include Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Speed Limit Assist, Smart Brake Support (Front and Rear), Pedestrian Detection, Emergency Lane Keeping, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Monitoring, and a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines. Higher trims add adaptive front lighting, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360° camera system.
The CX-5 GX, priced from $36,300, includes manual seat adjustments, a 12.9-inch touchscreen with wired smartphone integration, heated front seats, and dual-zone climate control. The GS model, starting at $39,200, upgrades to a power liftgate, wireless smartphone charging, leatherette and cloth upholstery, roof rails, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The GT trim begins at $42,200 and includes 19-inch black metallic wheels, black exterior accents, Bose 12-speaker audio system, leather seating, and heated rear seats. A panoramic roof package raises the price to $44,200, while the GT with Premium Package reaches $46,700 and adds a 15.6-inch display, paddle shifters, facial recognition-based personalization, and advanced highway driving aids, including Cruise and Traffic Support with Lane Change Assist.
Optional paint finishes range from $300 to $500, while interior material upgrades are offered at $250, depending on the selected exterior colour. Above MSRPs do not include $2,195 for freight & PDE, taxes, title or additional fees.
