Mazda unveiled a redesigned brand symbol at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 in Tokyo.
The logo maintains its “soaring wings” concept but features a bolder, digital-optimized design.
The new emblem and wordmark are now live on Mazda’s corporate website and will roll out globally.
Mazda Motor Corporation has introduced an updated version of its brand symbol, which was unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 in Tokyo. The revised design reflects Mazda’s long-term commitment to brand evolution and improved visibility across digital platforms.
The new symbol retains the core structure of the version first introduced in 1997, continuing to depict a stylized “M” meant to evoke soaring wings. According to the company, this visual motif represents a commitment to continuous self-reform and unceasing growth. Previous logos, including the one introduced in 1991, also referenced the origins of Mazda’s name: “wings,” “sun,” and “halo.”

Designed with a sleeker and bolder profile, the updated emblem improves legibility in digital settings. Alongside the symbol, Mazda has also released a redesigned wordmark with a modern typographic style. Both elements are currently featured on the company’s corporate website.
Mazda stated that the new and existing brand symbols will be deployed selectively depending on platform and context, allowing for flexibility while enhancing global brand recognition.
The update is part of Mazda’s corporate philosophy of “Radically Human” and supports its goal of delivering engaging mobility experiences that contribute to customers’ daily lives.
