McLaren 788HS concludes the 720S, 750S and 765LT supercar family.
Twin-turbo V8 delivers 777 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque.
Production limited to 200 individually commissioned coupe and spider models.
McLaren has revealed the new 788HS, a limited-production supercar that serves as the final chapter of the company’s 720S-based model family. The new model shuts the door on the lineage that began with the 720S, which included the 765LT and 750S, and becomes only the third McLaren to wear the exclusive “High Sport” designation.

Power comes from McLaren’s 4.0L twin-turbocharged M840T V8, producing 777 hp and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. The engine revs to 8,500 rpm and moves a dry vehicle weight of 1,265 kg (2,789 lb), giving the 788HS a power-to-weight ratio of 614 hp per tonne—the highest achieved within this supercar family.
Performance figures include 0-97 km/h (60 mph) in 2.8 seconds, 0-200 km/h (124 mph) in 7.0 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph). McLaren has also introduced a unique engine mount calibration intended to improve powertrain response and driver feedback without compromising everyday usability.

A newly developed carbon-fibre aerodynamic package distinguishes the 788HS from previous models. Key components include a multi-zone front splitter, S-Duct bonnet, raised active rear spoiler, louvred under-wing panel and a Formula 1-inspired rear diffuser. The full package generates 10% more downforce than the 765LT.
Weight reduction is a central engineering priority. The car uses a carbon-fibre monocoque chassis, lightweight interior components and an all-carbon-fibre aerodynamic package. Buyers can also specify full visual carbon-fibre exterior bodywork in either gloss or satin finishes.

Suspension revisions include bespoke tuning for the Proactive Chassis Control III linked-hydraulic system, adaptive dampers and a front ride height lowered by 5 mm compared with the 750S. McLaren says the changes improve body control, steering precision and overall responsiveness.
The braking system incorporates carbon-ceramic discs derived from the McLaren Senna, six-piston forged aluminium front callipers and integrated cooling ducts for sustained high-performance driving. The 788HS also becomes the first model in this supercar series to feature centre-lock wheels, paired with newly developed super lightweight forged alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin features a lightweight carbon-fibre centre console, bespoke HS branding, unique upholstery perforation patterns and a dedicated identification plaque. The steering-column-mounted instrument display and McLaren Control Launcher remain part of the driver-focused cockpit.
Production of the McLaren 788HS will be limited to 200 examples worldwide, evenly divided between coupe and spider body styles. Every vehicle will be individually configured through McLaren Special Operations (MSO), allowing each owner to commission a unique specification.
