The concept is based on an AMG GT 4-door.
This isn’t will.i.am’s first foray into car designing.
The car was built by West Coast Customs.
William Adams, better known as will.i.am, has teamed up with Mercedes-AMG and West Coast Customs to create a one-off concept known as the WILL.I.AMG. The car, based on an AMG GT 4-door will serve to promote the artist’s i.am/Angel Foundation “to help build a STEAM-ready talent pool that will lift families and communities out of poverty.”
will.i.am has designed a number of extremely unique vehicles over the years and despite being special in many ways, the WILL.I.AMG is almost tame in comparison. Unlike the AMG GT -4-door, this car features two massive suicide doors which are possibly some of the largest ever fitted to a car. Other notable aspects include the G-Wagen-inspired front-end design which sports a bear-like face icon that has been dubbed “BEAR WITNESS.”
The logo refers to will.i.am’s BEAR WITNESS collection of limited-edition apparel and accessories. They will be available for sale and a portion of the proceeds will go to support the rapper’s philanthropic efforts through his i.am/Angel Foundation.
If you are interested in the concept and see how it all came together an extensive six-part documentary series, “DRIVE”, will eventually premiere in Cannes during the 2022 film festival.
