The Mercedes-Benz Vision V is a high-end electric minivan concept.
It made its global debut at the Shanghai Auto Show.
It features 24-inch wheels and a massive 65-inch display screen.
Mercedes-Benz officially unveiled the Vision V concept at the Shanghai Auto Show, offering a glimpse at what could become the brand’s future in high-luxury electric minivans. Earlier this year, we attended a preview of the Vision V in Germany.

A Private Lounge on Wheels
During the concept’s unveiling, Mercedes-Benz didn’t highlight driving dynamics or the third-row accessibility for young kids. This vehicle is not designed for the average family. Instead, it targets affluent customers who prefer to ride in the plush second-row seats while being chauffeured. The goal? To replicate the ambiance of an exclusive private lounge.
The rear seats resemble first-class airline pods. They can recline fully into a near-lying position. The cabin is finished in white leather and rich wood trim. A minibar is included for the two rear passengers.

A partition separates the driver’s cabin from the rear passengers, and it features a giant 65-inch display. This screen allows occupants to work or relax in complete privacy. The Vision V comes with a 42-speaker audio system, adding to the luxury experience and creating a sound environment that matches the rest of the upscale interior.
Up front, the driver isn’t left out either, with access to the Superscreen setup that includes three individual displays.

A Distinctive Take on the Minivan
At first glance, the Vision V clearly retains the profile of a traditional minivan, though it is dressed in a sleek, futuristic design. It still uses a conventional sliding door on the passenger side, but that’s about the only “typical” feature. Designers boast about its aerodynamic efficiency. Framing the rear window is a unique wraparound light bar.
Since the Vision V remains in the concept phase, Mercedes-Benz has yet to reveal technical details. While the show car rolls on striking 24-inch wheels, these will unlikely carry over to any production version. Other than confirming that the Vision V rides on the modular Van EA platform, no specs have been released, and there are no horsepower figures, range estimates, or battery details for now.
Depending on how the public and media react to Vision V, Mercedes-Benz may seriously consider introducing this luxury minivan to the market.
