Mercedes-Maybach S 680 Goes Live On Brand’s Russian Site

This is the pinnacle of Mercedes

  • Just a day after first official pics appeared

  • Ultra-lux S Class starts from 28m rubles

Technical details about the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 have leaked, just a day after photos of the new V12 flagship surfaced. What do you need to know? How about that it will have more than 600 hp and that it will cost a monstrous amount of cash.

It’s from the configurator for the model from Mercedes-Benz of Russia (via Motor1), which now allows you to configure the S 680, the ultimate flagship version of the Mercedes-Benz S Class.

604 hp are on tap from the twin-turbo V12 engine, with torque expected to be somewhere around 738 lb-ft. The configurator says the car will hit 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds which is quite impressive for a car that tips the scales at 2,350 kg.

20 and 21-inch wheel options are offered, with 20s standard, but for Russia there is also a 19-inch option. Interior trim options include fabric center console as well as as “glass-like” center consoles, and a leather choice that’s nearly 5 percent of the original MSRP for the car.

Also offered is a package for those expecting to be chauffeured that moves the front passenger seat forward and allows for the easy removal of the adjustable headrest (as well as front seat controls in the rear) that give the owner in the back seat better visibility and added comfort.

The price for all of this? RUB 27,850,000, which works out to a whopping $456,905. For reference, the S 580 Maybach is RUB 19,990,000 ($327,000) and a base E 350 4Matic is RUB 6,700,000 (equivalent to CAD 110,000), and starts in Canada at $65,000.
