With this one post, Chevrolet ended years of speculation about a mid-engined Chevy Corvette. There have been countless spy shots and mid-engined Corvette renderings, and we even doubted at one point if the mid-engined Chevy Corvette was even real. Well, it is and it’s happening this summer.
As expected, Chevrolet didn’t provide any additional details on the mid-engined supercar. We don’t know what engine or engines will be located behind the driver, but we imagine it will be a more powerful version of the current V8. Turbocharging, supercharging or electrification are all possible. The C8 Corvette may also get a hybrid version called the Chevrolet Zora.
As you can see, the speculation continues for at least another few months. We are sure to see more spy shots and leaked images, and maybe even an order guide or two, from now until the unveiling on July 18.
