Milestone vehicle is an all-electric MINI Cooper SE edition.
Delivery celebrated at MINI Calgary, welcoming Lockharts to MINI family.
Calgary, Alberta, home to the beautiful landscapes of Canada, has now become home to the one-millionth iteration of the current fourth-generation MINI. Delivered at MINI Calgary, this significant milestone reflects the enduring appeal of the iconic brand.
In 2013, MINI unveiled its current, fourth-generation MINI 3-Door, a model that has gained global popularity since its worldwide release in 2014. Now, after nearly a decade, the one millionth MINI 3-Door has found its place with Steve and Kerry Lockhart, avid fans of the brand residing in Redwood Meadows.
The Lockharts’ MINI isn’t just any car, it’s a special edition all-electric MINI Cooper SE, rolled off from the historic Plant Oxford in the United Kingdom. This plant, coincidentally celebrating its 110th anniversary this year, is steeped in British tradition, enhancing the rich legacy of the milestone vehicle.
Adding to the vehicle’s distinctive status, it bears special features, including unique badging and details highlighting its heritage and the impressive production milestone it represents. Not just a regular delivery, this was marked by a celebration befitting the MINI brand’s reputation for fun and personality at MINI Calgary.
To further emphasize the sense of community and family within the brand, the Lockharts were treated to a heartwarming video message from Charlie Cooper, grandson of John Cooper, and a member of the MINI royal family. “You’re now part of the family, so get out there and enjoy it!” shared Cooper in his message to the new MINI owners.
Steve Lockhart, who purchased the one-millionth MINI with his wife Kerry, expressed their delight at becoming a part of MINI’s history. “It’s such an iconic brand. To be a small part of its rich history is both humbling and exciting. I wasn’t expecting this attention when we decided to purchase our first MINI!” he exclaimed.
With a legacy that traces back to its inception in 1959, and having celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2019, the MINI brand continues to captivate consumers with its unique blend of design and performance. As the Lockharts become the latest to fall in love with the brand, the vehicle, and the community, it’s clear that MINI’s charm and character endure into its next million milestones.
