Boardwalk gets special paint, unique interior detailing
Just 64 coming for all of Canada
Mini has just announced a special Boardwalk version of the Countryman for 2022. It’s a limited edition version of the Mini Countryman that gets special paint, unique wheels, and a host of styling changes inside and out.
The idea behind the Boardwalk, says Mini, is to “pay tribute to the famous wooden promenades of typical English piers,” said Mat Sayer, Director of Mini Canada.
The Deep Laguna blue paint is special to this model, previously reserved for a version of the Convertible badged Sidewalk. It contrasts with the black mirror caps, roof racks, and other black trim that covers the exterior. The 18-inch pin-spoke wheels are also black, of course, blending in with the rest of the trimmings.
Inside is a carbon black Yours Lounge Leather interior and touchscreen navigation is included. The 2022 Mini Boardwalk is based on the Cooper S All4, meaning a 189 hp turbo-four and all-wheel drive, and the model gets detailing like Boardwalk-exclusive graphics on the roof, special door sills, and Boardwalk door scuttle plates.
Limited to just 64 cars for Canada, or a little more than 2 per dealer, and arriving this month, the 2022 Mini Countryman Boardwalk starts from $47,990. Adding to the package are comfort and convenience amenities like LED headlights, comfort access entry, automatic trunk, as well as heated wheel, Harman/Kardon audio, head-up display, and all of Mini’s driver assistance features.
