2025 Mitsubishi RVR Warranty Coverage
In Canada, the Mitsubishi RVR is covered by a 5-year/100,000 km Basic Limited Warranty (whichever comes first) and a 10-year/160,000 km Powertrain Limited Warranty. A 5-year/unlimited km Anti-corrosion/Perforation Limited Warranty is also included.
In addition, 24-hour roadside assistance is offered on the RVR for 5 years and unlimited km.
What the 2025 Mitsubishi RVR Does Well
- The RVR is equipped with a capable all-wheel drivetrain called AWC, or All Wheel Control. While it’s not the brand’s S-AWC system that can shift available power from one rear wheel to another, AWC is able to quickly send power from the front to the rear wheels to enhance traction on slippery surfaces. There’s also a button to lock the system in a fixed 50:50 split as needed.
- Since it’s been on the market for so long without major changes, the RVR’s powertrain is tried and tested. The crossover’s engines aren’t too sophisticated, which means they should be reliable.
- As with any Mitsubishi product, the RVR benefits from one of the best warranties in the industry. That’s peace of mind, especially for owners who like to keep their vehicles for a long period of time.
- The RVR’s cabin is built with robust materials that will stand the test of time, and the infotainment system, while not the slickest out there, is easy to use and integrates Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
What the 2025 Mitsubishi RVR Doesn’t Do Well
- Both available engines are powerful enough on paper, but they don’t feel quite as athletic as more modern powerplants in competing models, and their sound under hard acceleration isn’t all that enchanting.
- Real-world fuel consumption is mid-pack at best. However, the fuel economy ratings are among the worst in the subcompact crossover segment.
- The big problem with the RVR is the age of its platform. The vehicle doesn’t feel as stiff as newer rivals like the Hyundai Kona, Mazda CX-30 and Chevrolet Trailblazer, just to name a few. The Mitsu shudders noticeably on choppy pavement. In short, it doesn’t offer the best ride quality.
- Not only is the RVR’s platform dated, but its overall design as well. Despite the various facelifts received over the years, the vehicle’s appearance is getting long in the tooth, and so is the appearance of its cabin. If we’re the type of person who’ll wait camp out all night in front of the tech store to get our hands on the latest smartphone that’s just being released, the RVR may not be for us.
2025 Mitsubishi RVR Competition
