The sketch features a modified Jeep Gladiator.
Every component we see in the image is available from Mopar.
The provided sketch and accompanying press release truly are teasers as they share little more than the fact that this Jeep is equipped with Jeep Performance Parts from Mopar. In fact, the PR reminds us of what Mopar is and where it comes from.
So here’s some knowledge: Mopar is nothing more than a contraction between the words MOtor and PARts. The now sub-brand was born way back in 1937 but made its mark in the 1960s during the muscle-car era. Today, they deliver more than 500,000 parts and accessories in more than 150 countries all over the world.
Back to the sketch, the Jeep in question is clearly a Gladiator as there’s a box positioned over the heavily modified (replaced?) bed. Said box must be made of steel as a huge 35-inch (?) spare is mounted on its backside, alongside a petrol canister. There seems to be an integrated drawer to the lower portion of the box while on top, a bicycle rack is visible. We can also a side compartment between the rear bumper and the rear wheel.
We assume FCA will release more details on the Jeep between now and SEMA360 which will take place next week between November 2nd and 6th.
