Mopar has recently introduced the Mopar 2023 Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger special-edition models. These exclusive builds are based on the Challenger and Charger R/T Scat Pack Widebody vehicles, featuring unique performance-oriented enhancements both inside and out. The total production of these limited-edition models is set at 440 units, comprising 200 units for the United States and 20 units for Canada of each model.
Mike Koval, head of Mopar North America, expressed the significance of these iconic muscle cars from Dodge in continuing their tradition of offering exclusive, low-volume packages of quality-tested, factory-backed performance parts and accessories from the Mopar Custom Shop. The Mopar models feature striking matte black exteriors, complemented by Mopar Blue tracer stripes along the hood, roof, and decklid, which are expected to appeal to performance enthusiasts and collectors alike.
The exterior of both the Mopar Challenger and Charger models is exclusively available in Pitch Black Clear Coat, adorned with unique matte-black graphics and Mopar Blue stripes. The Mopar Blue theme is continued with bespoke touches like a Mopar Blue grille badge, Mopar Blue brake calipers behind forged carbon-black wheels, and Mopar valve stem caps. Adding to the exclusivity, both models come with a brand-new carbon-fibre decklid spoiler, available solely on the Mopar 2023 editions.
The Widebody Package, a standard feature for both models, includes 20 inch forged-aluminum wheels finished in Carbon Black, body-colour fender flares that add 3.5 inches of width over Pirelli P Zero 305/35ZR20 summer performance tires, and an SRT-tuned Widebody competition suspension with Bilstein three-mode adaptive damping.
Inside the cabin, the Mopar models boast an array of premium features and amenities. A serialized Mopar instrument-panel badge enhances the interior’s exclusivity, while the Alpine Audio Group offers an enhanced sound experience for passengers. The Carbon Suede Interior Package features real carbon fibre accents and a suede headliner, adding to the overall performance-oriented atmosphere. Additionally, the Mopar Interior Appearance Group adds bright door sills and premium floor and trunk mats with Mopar logos.
Powering both the Mopar ’23 Challenger and Charger models is the formidable 392 HEMI V-8 engine, generating 485 naturally aspirated horsepower. The Challenger comes with a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission, providing drivers with a direct and engaging driving experience. The proven TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission is available for the Challenger and comes standard for the Charger.
The models are also equipped with Brembo six-piston front brake calipers, painted in exclusive Mopar Blue, to ensure superior stopping power.
