Ford has published spy shots of its own upcoming performance version of the Ford Bronco on its Twitter account
The tweet has many speculating the sporty Bronco may be called Warthog and not Raptor
There is a high-performance version of the Ford Bronco coming, that much is pretty much guaranteed. What it will be called, however, is still in the air.
The Ford Bronco Raptor would make a lot of sense, but Ford may want to keep that name for its trucks and use Warthog for its Bronco. The Warthog name first came to light earlier this month when a patent application was uncovered. That’s all it took for rumors of a new Ford Bronco Warthog began to surface.
Ford has been teasing their flagship Bronco model on Twitter, first showing a camouflaged model jumping over terrain much like the Ford F-150 Raptor has been known to do. Today, the model was teased driving through a deserted dirt road, kicking up sand from its beefy 37-inch tires that Ford referred to as “hooves”.

You know what else has hooves? A Warthog. You know what doesn’t have hooves? A velociraptor.
We will have to wait to learn more about this new, performance-oriented Bronco and what it will be called. Expect a teaser image with its actual name sometime in the next few weeks. Until then, we can all rejoice in the fact that the Bronco lineup will be growing.
