We’re mere days away from the New York Auto Show Press Days and we already know it’ll be a busy one. Let’s quickly look at the new 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS, Subaru Outback and Toyota Highlander.
2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS Class
The large 3-row luxury SUV has been sighted numerous times over the last little while with much to very little camouflage. This latest generation or Merc’s flagship SUV will counter the new BMW X7 with plenty of luxury and power.
Styling-wise, it looks very much like an evolution of the previous trucks with hints of the latest GLE. While we’re not 100% as to which versions we’ll see in New York, we are expecting that AMG will dabble in the GLS’ engine bay and inject at least 600-horsepower before long.
2020 Subaru Outback
The recent Chicago Auto Show served as the launch pad for the new 2020 Subaru Legacy which introduced not only an 11.6-inch portrait-oriented infotainment screen but a turbocharged 2.4-litre engine.
While the released teaser images of the new Outback say nothing about what’s under the bonnet, we can see that the same large touchscreen will make its way in the wagon. The other images clearly depict that plastic cladding is still on the menu and we’re happy about that.
2020 Toyota Highlander
Details are all but non-existent and the new Highlander as only a silhouette can be made out in the released images. We’re not expecting much of a departure styling-wise for the next Highlander other than a more upright front fascia à la RAV4.
We do, however, expect that it will be built on Toyota’s global architecture and that this 4th generation Highlander will be the best driver and most refined of all.
