New 2021 BMW 4 Series Priced From $53,650 In Canada

With little effort, pricing for a BMW M440i xDrive coupe rises to $80,000 with a few options

  • You can now build your new 4 Series Coupe online.

  • This is the one with the controversial oversized grille.

The new BMW 4 Series coupe has had a rough start. From the teaser pics, renderings, and spy shots, all focused on one specific element: the oversized grille. And now, if you’re curious about pricing for the new 4 Series, you can build it online.

Unfortunately, BMW Canada’s online configurator remains not the most user-friendly tool to build your dream car. Even so, the base 430i xDrive starts at $53,650 which includes the turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and AWD as well as the ability to reach 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.

Moving up to the 440i xDrive brings the starting price to $64,450. The boosted 3.0-litre straight-6 cylinder engine, which delivers 382 horsepower, also features an 8-speed autobox and AWD. The extra power launches the coupe to 100 km/h in only 4.3 seconds. With a few options including paint, interior trim, the Enhanced Track and Premium Excellence packages, and must-have Adaptive M suspension, the total price rises to $78,000 before fees and taxes.

We wonder if the grille will impact 4 series sales. Obviously, 2020 won’t be a proper year on which to base anything car sales-related…
