The Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler comparisons are only beginning.
The middle grey Bronco is equipped with the Sasquatch package, and it shows.
The Jeep Wrangler is the 2-door Sport trim.
Admittedly, squaring a 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands with the Sasquatch package against a basic Jeep Wrangler 2-door Sport seems unfair. But even so, the Bronco is undoubtedly far more imposing visually.
Jeep Wrangler fans will immediately point out the fact that a 4-door Unlimited Rubicon should be sitting next to the Bronco Badlands, and not the Sport. And most will agree. But even so, these images posted on bronco6g.com clearly demonstrate that the Bronco’s width and girth are more in line with the defunct yet wonderful Toyota FJ Cruiser – heck, it almost looks like a Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
Truly, it’s the Sasquatch package that literally raises not only the Bronco’s ride height, but its appeal. It includes 17-inch black-painted aluminum Beadlock-capable wheels with 35″ LT315/70R17 BSW Mud-Terrain tires, a high-clearance suspension, and fatter fender flares, as well as many other components.
A better visual comparison, which will surely be done sooner rather than later, would be with a 4-door Wrangler Rubicon. It sports 33-inch tires and a raised ride height among many other visual enhancements. But even so, and it hurts us to say this as we are big fans of the Wrangler, the Jeep almost seems dated…
Most damning of all is that there are a few pictures of the Wrangler next to a Bronco Sport – the comparison almost seems more appropriate. Ouch.
