- New Mercedes-Benz GLA set to debut on December 11
- Will slot below the new GLB as Mercedes-Benz’ entry-level luxury crossover
- Will feature a more traditional SUV design
The new 2021 Mercedes-Benz will debut on December 11 with more interior space and a shorter overall design. It will serve as Mercedes-Benz‘ entry-level utility vehicle offering next to the upcoming GLB.
Unlike the previous GLA which looked more like a hatchback than an SUV to some, the new model will have a more traditional utility vehicle design. It will be taller than the current model and shorter with a slightly longer wheelbase for improved interior space.
Mercedes-Benz hasn’t talked engines just yet, but did say the GLA would get a lot more safety technology including cornering and emergency lane departure assistance. It will also have a warning system for upcoming vehicles or bicycles when exiting the vehicle.
The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA will be unveiled on December 11 and will go on sale next year.
With the GLA and GLB, Mercedes-Benz will have two compact luxury SUVs available. The GLB offers room for 7 passengers.
