Proceeds from the sale of #001 will go to charity.
It’s a Limited-Edition Launch Edition TRX.
The TRX is the truck of trucks with 702 horsepower.
The new 2021 Ram TRX is the truck that only FCA would built. At least, that’s the case until Ford decides to take its Raptor to the next level. Indeed, Ram has fiercely thrown the gauntlet to the ground, challenging all truck-makers to attempt to match their creation. Production of the Ram TRX has just begun.
The first Ram TRX that will roll off the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP) production line in Sterling Heights, Michigan, will be an Anvil-coloured Launch Edition model and get the desirable 001 VIN number. This collectible and desirable TRX will be auctioned off early next year and all proceeds of the sale will go to charity.
Pricing for the 2021 TRX starts at just over $70,000 in the US. The Launch Edition package adds over $12,000 to the price tag. Less than a handful of options and accessories easily over $95,000. VIN 001 will include the RamBar, rock rails, bed-mounted tire carrier, all three by Mopar, the Trailer Tow Group, and Trailer Reverse Steering Control.
As a reminder, the 2021 Ram TRX is powered by a 6.2-litre supercharged HEMI V8 engine that produces 702 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque. The monster-truck will cover the 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) in only 4.5 seconds, the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds at 174 km/h, and a top speed of 190 km/h.
