New 2022 Nissan Pathfinder Offers Room For Everything And Everyone

Without heavily increasing outer dimensions, Nissan has created the most spacious Pathfinder ever for 2022

  • The all-new 2022 Pathfinder is designed for large families with more interior volume than ever.

  • The second row can accommodate three baby seats.

  • Overall, the 2022 Pathfinder is 300 litres more capacious than the outgoing model.

Family flexibility, for both gear and people, is one of the most important considerations when consumers shop for a new vehicle. For the 2022 model year, Nissan has increased the all-new Pathfinder’s interior volume to meet all family needs.

By increasing the Pathfinder‘s track width and overall vehicle width, and widening the rear wheelhouse, without dramatically increasing the vehicle’s overall dimensions, Nissan has managed to squeeze out an extra 10.6 cubic feet or 300 litres of interior volume from the Pathfinder.

“We closely analyzed every angle to make this vehicle as versatile as possible, while also delivering on rugged capability,” said Jared Haslam, vice president, Product, and Services Planning, Nissan U.S. and Canada. “Our goal was to turn Pathfinder into a multi-tool on wheels – making this the go-to SUV for hard-working, adventurous families.”

The extra room and volume have allowed Nissan to offer seating for up to eight passengers, a first for the Pathfinder. There is now also enough room to fit three car seats on the 2nd row and three on the 3rd row. As well, 2nd row Captain’s seats are now available for the first time.

The all-new 2022 Pathfinder goes on sale this summer.
