New C8 Chevrolet Corvette Uncovered Rear End Leaked

The excitement is palpable as the highly-anticipated C8 Chevrolet Corvette will make its world debut in 10 days. Meanwhile, here’s a leaked photo of its butt.

It seems as though carmakers are making a habit of and enjoying teasing the car-loving population with concepts and prototypes followed by camo’d mules. But no one seems to work it more than GM with their highly-anticipated C8 Chevrolet Corvette.

Technical difficulties were apparently the root cause for many of the delays – we were expecting the car to be revealed in Detroit last winter or possible New York in the spring. A while back, Chevy slapped stickers on its mules with a precise date on it: July 18, 2019.

As this date gets closer, footage and videos of the C8 barrelling down the Nürburgring have become commonplace. This time however it’s a fully uncovered picture of the new Corvette that’s been leaked.

What can be seen give credo to many renderings seen on the web and seems unchanged from what can be made out in spy shots. The taillights are very Corvette, we’ve got the quad-squared-out tailpipes and a full-width spoiler. We also get a good look at what many are referring to as “Elkhart Lake Blue” but beyond this, the camera angle heavily distorts the roofline and very little can be seen of the quarter panels.

As July 18th approaches, we think there’ll be many more pictures leaking through, whether planned or not. We’re convinced the real thing will be a stunner.
