The official press release announcing the Genesis GV60 had barely been sent out already it was a hit. Styled like only a Genesis can be and packaged like only a Genesis can be, the GV60 marks the first step in Hyundai’s premium brand’s journey to going all-electric. In Canada, the new luxury electric SUV will be priced from $71,000.
The GV60 will be assembled on Hyundai Motor’s E-GMP platform. The base Advanced trim will feature a 74kW electric motor in the front with a 160kW motor in the rear, for a total of 314 horsepower and 446 lb.-ft. of torque. It will be fitted with countless safety and advanced driver assistance systems, Nappa leather, heated and ventilated front seats, 20-inch wheels, Fingerprint Authentication, Face Connect, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, navigation system, and vehicle-to-load charging capability.
The high-performance aptly-named Performance version will be priced from $79,000. It will include a more powerful 160kW front electric motor for a total of 429 horsepower. The Boost Mode will increase that number to 483 along with 516 lb.-ft. of torque. Also featured are an Electronic Limited Slip Differential (E-LSD), Electronically Controlled Suspension with Road Preview, the Ergo Motion massaging driver’s seat, 21-inch wheels, a Bang & Olufsen Premium Audio with 17 Speakers, and much more.

The new 2023 Genesis GV60 goes on sale this week with first deliveries beginning at the end of the month.
