New Lexus LC Convertible Drops Its Top At The Goodwood Festival Of Speed

The New Lexus LC Convertible Prototype shows us what the production car will look like when it arrives in the near future.

Chalk the reveal of the Lexus LC Convertible in the “everyone figured it was coming” column. This does not mean that the car is not spectacular looking! The Lexus LC Coupe is already quite the showpiece thanks to its superb proportions.

Looking at pictures of the Lexus LC Convertible makes us think that it will quickly take over sales-wise from the very slow-selling Coupe. The Lexus LC’s calling card is its concept-like design, long, low and lean styling and absolutely exquisite cabin. From the pictures of the camouflaged Convertible, we can tell that it’s all still accounted for.

What we can’t tell is what lies beneath the bonnet however we’re quite certain it’s the same 5.0-litre normally-aspirated V8 which is good for 471-horsepower and 398 lb.-ft. of torque.

Lexus has not mentioned when the car will officially hit showrooms but we figure as the auto show season is just around the bend, we’ll see the production before year’s end. Pricing is also not known however it is safe to assume that it will be well north of the Coupe’s 2020 starting price of $103,050.
