New Porsche Panamera Coming Next Week

Porsche prepares Panamera for next week's digital reveal

  • Faster, “enhanced even further” Panamera nearly here

  • Updated chassis and styling for ultimate executive express

Porsche is getting ready to present a new Panamera sedan for the first time in four years. It’s ready for launch before the end of the month, and the executive express will be even more powerful, quicker, and there will probably be some extra luxury stuff too.

The reveal of the refreshed Porsche Panamera is set for the 26th of this month, just six days from now, and in the teaser for the new car, the automaker has revealed a few small details about the sedan that’s possibly blended sports car and practical car better than any other.

New dual-stacked running lights on the lower corners are the first thing we see, along with new taillights that bring it even closer to the look of the 911 and the new Cayenne. Porsche’s latest steering wheel is lurking as well, suggesting an interior refresh will come with the styling and power updates.

What do we already know about the car? That the revised chassis settings have let the new car set a lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife a whopping 13 seconds quicker than the previous 550 hp Panamera Turbo. Those improvements come from a new electromechanical roll stabilisation system, new tires, and what we believe will be a new Turbo S spec with more than 600 hp.

What exactly will Porsche be hiding under the slightly tweaked bodywork? We’ll find out soon enough, but expect the line between luxury sedan and sports coupe to get even thinner than it was with the current car.
