The Rimac also sets an unofficial production car record for the ¼ mile run.
The new Nevera essentially toys with the most powerful Ferrari ever built.
Rimac has just officially launched the production version of the C_Two and already it’s out there crushing any would-be competitors. In this duel, the Rimac Nevera drag races a superb Ferrari SF90 but for all intents and purposes, it could have been a Volkswagen Golf.
The SF90 is no slouch. The hybrid-electric hyper car tips the scale at only 1,770 kg. Thanks to the twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 and electric motors, the 1,000 horsepower Ferrari reaches 100 km/h in about 2.5 seconds and, as demonstrated in the video, can cover the ¼ mile run in 9.6 seconds.
But the Rimac Nevera is next level and beyond. The quad electric-motor hyper car might tip the scale at 2,150 kg but its 1,914 total system horsepower will send the EV to 100 km/h in only 1.97 seconds. The video, posted by CarWow, also shows how quickly the car can complete the ¼ mile run too…
There is a slight cost difference though. The Ferrari starts at around £376,000 while the Rimac goes for about £2,000,000.
