New Super Ferrari to be unveiled this month

A new Super Ferrari should be presented on May 31st at a special event in Maranello a leaked document shows.

A FerrariChat user got a save the date from Ferrari last week announcing the introduction of a new Super Ferrari. The screenshot shows the email titled “Dare to imagine” along with “Preview the new 1000 CV Ferrari in Maranello on May 31st.”

This new 986 hp supercar will be the second of five Ferrari’s to be unveiled this year by the Italian manufacturer. In February, WhichCar, an Australian magazine, interviewed Enrico Galliera, Ferrari’s senior vice president of commercial and marketing.

Galliera spilled the beans on the carmaker’s plan for 2019 in terms of new models: “Five will come in 2019, which is probably the biggest effort.”

The first model to be revealed this year was the Ferrari F8 Tributo during the Geneva Motor Show.

Galliera added that “all five of the 2019 launches will be “different concepts”, and not merely made-over versions of current cars,” during WhichCar’s interview.

This new Ferrari supercar was confirmed by Ferrari’s own Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Louis Camilleri, during the Ferrari Q1 2019 earnings call last week.

Camilleri said during the call “The second model will be presented at the end of this month, with the world premiere held here in Maranello. As we have stated previously, it will be a top-of-the-line hybrid with supercar performance and a true beauty.”

As you can see, very few details are known at the moment but according to the same FerrariChat user that revealed the event, this new Super Ferrari would cost around € 600,000 without options.

That being said, we will have to wait until the end of the month to have all the details on this new model.
