Hyundai has trademarked Ioniq T names in multiple regions
Two different electric pickups could be in works
Drive found that Hyundai had trademarked the Hyundai Ioniq T10 name for use in vehicles. The automaker hasn’t formally announced any details about the truck other than to say that it is working on one.
The T in the name suggests that it’s the truck. The number 10 in Hyundai’s Ioniq name structure suggests that it’ll be a big vehicle. Or at least sit up at the top of the lineup. The Ioniq 7 is the company’s planned large SUV, so we’re basing it on that and the Ioniq 5.
Hyundai has also applied for a trademark for the Ioniq T10 name in the U.S., which seems to be the most obvious market for an electric pickup from the brand. It’s the truck-hungriest market in the world, after all.
Hyundai has also filed for an Ioniq T7 in Australia, which could mean that a smaller pickup is coming. Something more like an electric version of the Hyundai Santa Cruz.
There’s still no word on when a Hyundai electric pickup could arrive. We’re expecting 2025 at the earliest, based on currently available information.
