The Nissan Skyline, aka Q50, is said to be a fastback sedan
Model will be an EV, and a crossover will come too
The Infiniti Q50 is due for a redesign, and a new report says that it is about to get one. The car will return as a stunning fastback-style sedan ready for the fall of 2025 that looks like the Qe concept Infiniti recently revealed.
No, this isn’t a new GT-R. That model split from its Skyline roots way back in 2001 when the 11th-gen Skyline was introduced as a sedan in Japan and the Infiniti G35 in North America.
It had been predicted that the next Skyline would be available only as a crossover, but this latest says that Nissan and Infiniti will offer both. BCW shows a rendering of the Skyline crossover that’s under development as well as the sedan. We can probably expect the Skyline crossover here with either an Infiniti Q50 or QX55 badge.
Both models are expected to be electric. The battery-powered models will have four-wheel independently controlled all-wheel drive and are expected to get around 450 hp. And they’re both expected to go on sale in fall of 2025, meaning we should see them sometime at the end of 2024 or early 2025.
