Nissan Brings A Fleet to SEMA Including a 440-horse Supercharged Frontier

Four cool rides for Nissan's SEMA booth

  • Nissan gearing up for the hottest aftermarket show

  • Fleet includes supercharged Frontier, lifted and slammed Kicks

Nissan is charging hard into the SEMA show for 2024 with four new concept cars. The new list of builds includes a 440-horse street truck based on the Nissan Frontier called Tarmac, plus one Kicks that’s lifted and one Kicks that has been lowered.

The Nissan Tarmac is the coolest of them all. It’s a slammed widebody pickup built by the Forsberg Racing shop, and most of its new panels are made from carbon fiber. The engine is Nissan’s 3.8L V6, but it’s been worked over with a Roots-style supercharger that boosts hp from 310 to 440 and sends torque soaring to a similar figure.

A four-inch drop in the front and six inches in the back brings this down into handling territory. 20-inch wheels with carbon fiber barrels cut weight and give the Nissan Z Nismo brakes somewhere to live while they work. The rear brakes include a second caliper that’s there just for the Forsberg Drift Stick e-brake, and the truck has sticky Yokohama tires.

Nissan’s Kicks Urban Shadow is a slammed Kicks on Nismo 18s with a custom coilover setup. It is meant to encourage Kicks owners to modify their rides, with graphics that give the Kicks some flair it wouldn’t normally have.

The bright yellow Nissan Kicks is in full beach patrol spec thanks to a 2.0-inch Nismo lift and all-terrain tires. This sand-ready Kicks comes with a new skidplate and rock rails. It also has more off-road lights than you could ever need, plus emergency flashers for when it’s business time.

Last and probably least, at least when it comes to the changes, is the Nissan Z Legend. This one will actually see production, though, with details like the vintage-look wheels, rear spoiler, and fender flares ready to go. It also includes details like a C-pillar logo that shows a nod to the seven generations of the Z.
