Nissan Canada Announces Pricing for its 2027 Frontier

The Nissan Frontier returns largely unchanged for 2027. The midsize pickup is playing it safe this year, banking on consistency, though there’s at least one small win: a new exterior colour joins the lineup for the new model year. Nissan Canada has also just locked in pricing for the upcoming model year. Let’s break it all down.

–        Pricing starts at $56,998 (selling price: $59,822)

–        The lineup still consists of the Pro-4X and Pro-4X Luxe trims

–        The Frontier is expected at Canadian dealerships this fall

Same Powertrain

Under the hood, the 3.8-litre direct-injection V6 keeps doing what it does best, putting out 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and four-wheel drive comes standard.

As for capability, the 2027 Nissan Frontier can tow up to 6,680 pounds. The Pro-4X Luxe trim gives buyers a choice between a 5-foot or 6-foot bed, while the base Pro-4X offers only the shorter bed.

Off-road chops aren’t an afterthought either, with standard all-terrain tires, a Bilstein suspension, an electronic locking rear differential, plus fender flares and red tow hooks that add to the truck’s rugged look.

Nissan also fits this model with an Intelligent Around View Monitor that includes an off-road viewing mode, usable at speeds up to 19 km/h. Take the Frontier down a trail, and it’ll leave an impression.

A Generous Tech Package

Regardless of trim, buyers get a 12.3-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Nissan‘s suite of connected services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless charging for compatible devices.

A solid slate of driver-assist features rounds things out, including lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and intelligent cruise control.

The Frontier might not top the charts against some of its main rivals, but you shouldn’t write it off either. Nissan did solid work with the truck’s last redesign, and it still deserves a spot on the shopping list in this segment.

2027 Trims and Pricing

Trim MSRP Selling Price
Frontier Pro-4X Crew Cab 4×4 (5-foot bed) $56,998 $59,822

Frontier Pro-4X Luxe Crew Cab 4×4 (6-foot bed) $60,598 $63,422

The 2027 Nissan Frontier is expected to hit Canadian dealer lots sometime this fall.
