Nissan Canada Unveils Prices for the 2019 Maxima

Unveiled to the public in November, at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the Nissan Maxima offers a refreshed design for 2019. Nissan Canada gives more details on what’s new on its sedan, that will be available in dealerships starting this January.

In addition to having a refreshed look, the mid-cycle redesign gives the 2019 Maxima several improvements. Newly available on the options list are 10 air bags, including front driver and passenger knee and rear seat side supplemental air bags and the Nissan Safety Shield 360, which includes Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Rear Intelligent Emergency Braking.

A new color is also added to the sedan’s colour palette, sunset drift, while new convenience features are making their way, such as a standard Rear Door Alert, available Traffic Sign Recognition and two USB Type-C ports.

Three models, the SL, SR and Platinum, will mark the lineup of the 2019 Nissan Maxima, while the base SV will disappear. On the other hand, the price of the remaining 3 models is being cut.

  • Nissan Maxima SL – $40,790 CAD
  • Nissan Maxima SR – $43,190 CAD
  • Nissan Maxima Platinum – $45,650 CAD

The standard 300-horsepower 3.5-litre V6 engine remains the same, as does the XTRONIC gearbox.

Only one package is offered, the Platinum Reserve, which includes exclusive 19 “wheels, heated rear seats and the semi-aniline diamond-studded leather interior treatment.
