Off-road concept brings cool features to segment
Allows for campsite charging of tools and toys
Nissan is bringing a new adventure concept to the Tokyo show in a couple of weeks. The Nissan Hyper Adventure is an EV meant to light up your campsite and power your fun in the great outdoors.
As Nissan points out, more time on the road means more energy. To give you more energy, it will come with a large-capacity EV battery and V2X charging capability.
The company didn’t say how big of a battery it might have (it’s just a concept, after all), but it does say that the vehicle-to-anything charging will let it power up campsite needs or recharge toys like electric jetskis. Plus it can power your whole home if need be.
Nissan’s design is the important part here. This is a cool-looking crossover with futuristic styling. Styling that could make it to market with the company’s future EVs. Something we can’t really say for the giant folding rear door. It turns the crossover into something like a toy hauler, with retractable steps to load and unload.
A sci-fi cabin allows a huge front windshield, and Nissan has installed a rear bench seat that can rotate 180 degrees for tailgating.
The Nissan Hyper Adventure concept will be on display at the Japan Mobility Show. Except that it will be in digital form, there won’t be a physical one on stage.
