Nissan Teases “The Ultimate Dream Garage” Ahead Of New York Auto Show

Nissan’s had brand enthusiasts salivating in the past over what they call the “Ultimate Dream Garage.” A teaser picture has us thinking the 50 years of performance will be beyond ultimate.

The official press release that followed the picture you see above essentially says nothing. The exact words are: “Come experience a garage 50 years in the making – the Nissan Dream Garage at the 2019 New York International Auto Show.”

But as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. There are eight cars visible in the shot, starting on the upper left is an original Fairlady Z (240Z in North America), an R34 Skyline GT-R Group A race car, a gorgeous Skyline 2000GT-R, and an R34 NISMO GT-R LM road car.

Below them are what we think are late model equivalents to the upper-level cars. On the left, a 370Z can clearly be made out. The other three sport the R35 Nissan GT-R‘s profile and are probably draped the same livery as the cars above them.

We have little more to go on but if we’re honest, this is not Nissan’s greatest Ultimate Dream Car Garage, at least according to us. Back in 1996, Nissan produced an incredible TV spot for the year’s Super Bowl. The ad shows numerous old-school Nissan products in support of their slogan of the time: “Life is a journey. Enjoy the Ride.” We’ll take the Datsun Roadster 2000, thank you very much.
