Nissan Unveils the Off-Road-Ready Frontier Forsberg Edition

• This lifted truck receives a host of NISMO upgrades inspired by the Forsberg Racing Frontier.

• The main components of the package are all-terrain tires, a reinforced suspension, and a unique roof rack.

• This package will be available for both new and used Frontiers from 2022 or 2023.

Ahead of the Chicago Auto Show which opens this Thursday, Nissan has unveiled a new off-road-focused version of its Frontier mid-size pickup.

The Forsberg Edition is an option package that will be available for Crew Cab pickups starting this fall, inspired by the Forsberg Racing Frontier, which won the Norra 500 off-road rally in Mexico back in October.

This package includes a list of NISMO performance upgrades, such as an off-road suspension lift kit, high-performance shock absorbers, forged control arms, and a cat-back exhaust system.

In addition, the Nissan Frontier Forsberg Edition will come with beadlock-capable 17-inch Axis wheels and Yokohama Geolandar all-terrain tires.

Furthermore, a unique roof rack featuring an integrated LED light bar and rock sliders on the rocker panels will be included.

On the cosmetic side, the Forsberg Edition will also come with unique decals and badges.

Since this option package will be dealer-installed, Nissan says owners of used Frontier Crew Cab models will be able to purchase the Forsberg Edition, provided their truck is not older than the 2022 model year.

The automaker says the package will be priced at $9,999 in the United States, which means that the most affordable 2024 4×4 Crew Cab Frontier Forsberg Edition will cost $44329.

Nissan Canada has yet to confirm if this off-road package will be available here, but considering Canadian buyers can only choose the fully optioned Crew Cab PRO-4X at $54,774, the final price of a Frontier Forsberg Edition on this side of the border would be quite high.
