No Time to Die: Four Aston Martin Cars in the Latest James Bond Movie

  • Four Aston Martin cars featured in No Time to Die
  • Daniel Craig’s last movie portraying James Bond
  • To hit the big screen in April 2020

The 25th instalment of the James Bond series will hit the big screen in the few months, and Daniel Craig returns to play Agent 007—one last time—in No Time to Die.

The movie trailer depicts Bond returning to action after leaving active service when CIA officer Felix Leiter (played by Jeffrey Weight) asks him to help find a missing scientist. Double-oh-Seven must confront a villain named Safin (Rami Malek), who is armed with a dangerous new technology. And as usual, there’s a romance story—a complicated one, it seems—between Bond and a beautiful woman, this time being Dr. Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux), who also starred in the previous JB flick Spectre.

The action-packed movie will be presented in theatres across North America in April 2020, and since it’s Craig’s last portrayal of James Bond, another actor will replace him as 007. Or actress, as rumours suggest the next instalment of the series will star a woman Double-oh. It might be Nomi, a 00 agent played by Lashana Lynch in this latest title.

Anyways, in the movie, we’ll see a few cars, of course, and in No Time to Die, they’ll be not one, but four Aston Martin cars.

The oldest one is the Aston Martin DB5, the trademark James Bond car. The DB5 was sold from 1963 to 1965 as an evolution of the preceding DB4, equipped with a 4.0-litre inline-six engine rated at 282 hp (286 PS, 210 kW) and 288 pound-feet of torque.

We’ll also see Bond tooling around in a first-gen Aston Martin V8 Vantage, which was sold from 1977 to 1989 with a 5.3-litre V8 that produced 390 horsepower (395 PS, 291 kW) and 406 pound-feet of torque.

The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, introduced last year with a twin-turbo, 5.2-litre V10 good for 715 horsepower (725 PS, 533 kW) and 664 pound-feet of torque will also share a few seconds in the spotlight with Bond and Nomi, while the upcoming Aston Martin Valhalla supercar will make an appearance as well. It will be powered by a twin-turbo V6 engine matched to a kinetic energy recovery system (KERS), which should belt out about 986 hp (1,000 PS, 735 kW).

If the trailer is any indication of the movie itself, No Time to Die should be the flick to see in the spring of 2020.
