Faster flying Ferrari F8
High-end tuning firm loads carbon fibre and power into newest Ferrari
The tuners at Novitec have just turned their attention to the Ferrari F8 Tributo, but can you make a prancing horse even faster than stock? The answer is yes, because they’ve boosted the car to more than 800 hp and slashed the 0-100 km/h times, and have added new aero and handling components to go with it.
Novitec doesn’t handle “normal” cars when they work their tuning magic, it’s high-end cars only. And that expertise has helped them push the Ferrari F8’s 3.9L twin-turbo V8 from 710 hp to a massive 802 and bumped up torque from 568 lb-ft to 662.
That’s enough to let it hit 100 km/h from a stop in 2.6 seconds and keep going all the way to 340 km/h flat out.
The company offers a range of performance modifications for the car, including engine tuning and replacement catalytic converters, as well as new Inconel exhaust systems with or without a flap to limit noise when it’s time to be a little bit more subtle.
Wheels up to 22-inches are offered, letting the car fit even larger tires than factory, with spacers available to help them fit properly under the arches. Sport springs are available that lower the car compared with stock, also offered in a version that keeps the factory nose-lift system in place.
Because it’s not a high-end tuner car without loads of carbon fibre, Novitec offers a host of bare carbon parts ranging from a new front bumper and mirror covers to door handles and the cap that goes over the rear view camera.
If that’s not enough, they’ll also retrim the interior leather and Alcantara in just about any colour or design you can think up.
