The manual transmission option was pulled from the Challenger Hellcat in the US in 2021.
Based on Dodge Canada’s website, it was offered for the 2022 model year, but no longer for 2023.
Manual transmissions bolted to V8 engines were once common. As we all know today, they are extremely rare. In fact, with the exception of Pony cars, they are dead. And soon there will be none. Although the 6M option with Hellcat power was pulled from the Dodge Challenger in 2021 in the US, it continued to be offered in Canada in 2022. Now, it’s gone from both online builders but it’s not quite forgotten.
It appears as though enthusiasts have one final chance to order a new Dodge Challenger Hellcat with the optional 6-speed TREMEC manual transmission. According to The Drive, dealers have a limited number of manual Hellcat, widebody or not, allocations up for grabs. Customers interested in one can check out the Dodge Horsepower Locator tool at DodgeGarage.com to find one with a remaining allocation.
The reason why the 3-pedal option was pulled was that the powertrain required a calibration update. At the time, Dodge said the option’s suspension was temporary. As of now, American Challenger Hellcat buyers can try to get one. We’ve reached out to Dodge Canada to find out if this is the case here. (THEY’VE CONFIRMED THAT IT IS)
Now, should Hellcat + 6M not be possible in Canada (it is), fear not, the delicious 392 can still be fitted with three pedals – a better combo in our opinion anyhow.
