The 2024 Polestar 2 offers increased range, new motors, enhanced performance, and additional standard equipment.
We have much love for the Polestar 2 and it’s about to increase, we think. The EV automaker has announced the pricing and availability details for the highly anticipated and updated 2024 Polestar 2.
The long-range single motor variant will be available in the summer with a starting MSRP of $54,950, on only $1,000 more than in 2023. It will boast boasts a wide array of standard equipment, including features like Blind Spot Information System with steer assist, Cross Traffic Alert with brake support, park assist sensors, 360-degree cameras, and auto-dimming door mirrors. With an increased estimated EPA combined range of up to 515 kilometers and a rear-wheel drive configuration, this vehicle offers improved handling and performance. The new motor generates 299 hp, an impressive 68 hp increase from its predecessor.
Starting at $62,950, the long-range dual motor Polestar 2 now includes the Pilot Pack as standard, which was previously an optional add-on priced at $4,700, which explains the $4,000 increase over the equivalent 2023 model year vehicle. The Pilot Pack incorporates advanced driver assistance aids such as Pilot Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Emergency Stop Assist, Rear Collision Warning and Mitigation, and LED front fog lights with cornering function. The dual motor Polestar 2 features a rear-biased drivetrain, an asynchronous rear motor, and an increased power output of 421 hp, providing an estimated range of up to 444 kilometers. The front electric motor can also be disconnected when not in use, improving efficiency and extending the vehicle’s range.
For customers seeking enhanced performance, the dual motor Polestar 2 offers optional Plus and Performance packs. The Performance Pack includes upgrades like low-drag Brembo brakes, newly designed forged alloy wheels, Öhlins DFV adjustable dampers, and a power output of 455 hp, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 4.2 seconds. The Plus Pack, previously priced at $5,700 and now available for $3,000, offers additional features such as a range-enhancing heat pump, premium sound by Harman Kardon, a large panoramic moonroof with a reflected Polestar symbol, and various heating options.
All versions of the Polestar 2 are eligible for various government incentives, including the Federal Government iZEV Incentive of $5,000 and additional incentives of up to $4,000 in the Province of British Columbia and $7,000 in the Province of Quebec.
