Porsche 911 GTS Goes Hybrid for 2025

911 GTS gets hybrid power boost

  • GTS gets bigger gas engine, hybrid boost

  • Standard 911 gets facelift

Porsche has just revealed the latest 911, and this one has electric power. It’s not fully electric, and it’s not even a PHEV, but the 2025 Porsche 911 GTS has a system called T-Hybrid that boosts its bigger flat-six to even higher levels of performance.

532 hp and 449 lb-ft of torque. That’s the total output from the new system. The new 3.6L six makes 478 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque on its own, with its boost responses improved thanks to an electric motor in the turbocharger that can spin it up at low RPM or generate power on the overrun to charge the 1.9 kWh hybrid battery. The total is 59 hp more than the last GTS model with its 3.0L engine.

The electric motor is integrated into the PDK transmission and makes 54 hp with 110 lb-ft of torque from idle. It fills in the bottom of the powerband and boosts launch acceleration.

For the 2025 GTS, Porsche has made rear-axle steering standard. Thanks to the hybrid system’s high voltage, roll stabilisation is also an option. Adaptive dampers are also standard equipment.

Standard 2025 911 Carrera models also make more power, though it’s from just 3.0L. A new intercooler and turbochargers from the last GTS model boost power by nine to 388 hp and 331 lb-ft.

Both models get new headlights and new taillights. The GTS adds active aero flaps in the front grilles and underneath, with a goal of improving aero performance when going fast and boosting cooling when you’re using the power. On the inside, the 911 gets a new digital dashboard screen and a new version of Porsche Communication Management with deeper Apple CarPlay integration and more apps.

The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera starts from $135,600 in Canada. GTS models start from $182,500, with both offered in coupe or convertible and GTS offered in rear or AWD. The Targa model is offered in AWD GTS guise for $206,000.
